This Tenor Sunrise has the name "Double Back" for a reason that is not obvious at first glance.

This ukulele has a double back, which creates a tonal advantage.

As a master plucked instrument maker, I can confirm that the back of ukuleles in particular is an area which
resonates very little, if not not at all. This is because the instrument is held completely against the body when it is played and the back is therefore damped. However, if you install a soundboard inside the instrument that cannot be damped, you get an instrument that is noticeably louder.

The principle of the double floor has now been refined to such an extent that it provides fabulous support for hardwood ceilings and creates even more volume.

For this particular instrument, the same wood was chosen for the soundboard and top for the first time. The result is more than satisfactory.
This instrument has an extraordinary, room-filling sound and brings with it not only a unique volume but also depth.

It was important to me to develop a discreet design,
which does not restrict the functionality of the double floor and yet also brings something special with it.
I created a frame around the instrument with subtle inlays and shavings of ebony and maple.

The matching mosaic that adorns the sound hole and the rib joint rounds off the instrument in a simple but striking way.

The walnut used not only has a visually unique and expressive flamed grain, but also a very voluminous and warm tone.

To match the body, which is made entirely of walnut and Sitka spruce, I used a mahogany neck to round off the classic, chic design.
The machine heads of this special ukulele were handmade in Markneukirchen (Germany).

The body and neck of the ukulele are finished with a satin nitrocellulose lacquer.
This has a very nice natural feel and is pleasant to hold for a long time.

The instrument is handed over to the future owner in a high-quality case.

This case was made for the instrument by the renowned case maker Artur Benedykt.
